EAB’s Green Exchange System

How can I save money by buying Exchange-A-Blade and Razor Back products?

Buy your first Exchange-A-Blade or Razor Back accessory at the regular price. When it wears out, return it for a replacement and pay the purchase price minus the exchange credit printed on the label. For example, if the original price is $45 and the exchange credit is $18, your next one costs $27. Used continuously, the exchange system can save you up to 40%.

Am I just paying an inflated price to start with?

No. Exchange-A-Blade and Razor Back accessories are price-checked against comparable products. Dollar for dollar, the green exchange system delivers outstanding value.

What happens if I return a damaged Exchange-A-Blade or Razor Back product—can I still exchange it?

Yes. You can still exchange damaged items—another advantage of the green exchange system. Damaged items are sent to a metal recycler, ensuring the steel is recycled.

How can I recognize EAB exchangeable products?

All Exchange-A-Blade and Razor Back products are exchangeable. Look for these brands at participating retailers and check the label for exchange details.

Why can I only exchange Exchange-A-Blade and Razor Back power tool accessories?

To guarantee remanufactured quality, we must know a product’s origin. Limiting exchanges to our own brands lets us maintain strict quality standards.

EAB’s Recycling and Remanufacturing System

Why recycle saw blades?

Making new accessories consumes iron ore, coal, energy, limestone, and water—and produces pollutants and waste. By recycling returns, we conserve resources and cut waste. Select exchangeable products are upcycled and remanufactured in North America to original or better-than-new quality, further helping the planet.

Can I return any power tool accessory to EAB for recycling or remanufacturing?

Yes. You can drop off used Exchange-A-Blade, Razor Back, and Stay Sharp products at participating stores for shipment back to EAB. Only Exchange-A-Blade and Razor Back carbide exchangeable blades are considered for remanufacturing if they meet our standards. Participating stores also collect other brands for recycling at EAB’s eco central.

Why does EAB remanufacture blades and not just sharpen them?

Local sharpening can be inconvenient and inconsistent. We guarantee that every Exchange-A-Blade or Razor Back product you buy—new or remanufactured—performs like new. Remanufacturing also saves resources and reduces waste.

Does EAB remanufacture every blade?

No. Each blade is inspected at our North American facility. Those that fail any standard are recycled, ensuring you receive a perfect remanufactured product while avoiding unnecessary resource use.

Does EAB remanufacture only blades?

We previously remanufactured router bits, but due to complex geometries and our commitment to “good-as-new” results, that program was discontinued. Currently, we remanufacture blades only.
